COLD ROLLED

COLD ROLLED

The qualities of Cold Rolled have specific characteristics based on performance and/or the best economic and industrial viability. It is a type of steel with guaranteed tensile strength, maximum yield and minimum tendency to elongation and fracture. The low carbon content makes it excellent for welding and due to the uniformity of its chemical and mechanical properties ensure a consistent stamping process.

SUBCATEGORIES

Structural steels are mainly used for industrial construction and for the field of mechanical engineering. They are steels rich in carbon and manganese that gives them tensile strength and are widely used for applications where strength is more important than flexibility.

Qualities: DC01; DC02; DC03

Applications:

  • Industrial Construction.

Inlay steels are used for various cold forming processes, particularly when the characteristics of deformation and ductility of materials are more important than those of resistance.

Qualities: DC04; DC05; DC06; EK4

Applications:

  • Automotive Industry;
  • Deep embedding processes;
  • Manufacture of pipes and profiles.

A special hardening process gives these materials high strength by optimizing functional properties such as weldability and coating. The mechanical properties allow use for lightweight parts for reinforcement and structural applications that do not require deep stamping.

Qualities: HC 220; HC 260; HC 300; HC 340; HC 380; HC 420 (HCT 600X; HCT 880X)

Applications:

  •  Automotive Industry.
